Lange Ley is a private bilingual school in Palermo, opened in 1940 by the Czech teacher Lily de Fon Lange: it began as a kindergarten in an old house in the district, with groups of two- and three-year-olds, a primary school was added in 1942, and in 1960, already in the present building, a senior school. The school was secular and bilingual from the very start, and it did not become co-educational at once. It now takes children from the age of two to the end of the fifth year of the secundaria with a specialisation in international relations, and in the senior years it brings pupils through to Cambridge examinations and the ICE diploma. Portuguese is taught from the sixth year and pupils are prepared for the Brazilian CELPE-Bras, so leavers can go on to universities in Brazil. The building has its own science laboratory, computer rooms, a music and multimedia centre, an art workshop, a dining hall and a library with a separate English collecti, and senior year trips go to São Paulo, Lond, and Washington and New York. The school publishes neither its fees, nor its pupil numbers, nor its examination results.

The nursery stage runs in salas from the ages of two to five, the primary school from the first to the seventh year, and the senior school "de 1ro a 5to año", with the diploma "Bachiller con Orientación en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades y Especialización en Relaciones Internacionales".

Campus: A single building in Palermo, built as a school and divided by stage: spacious light classrooms with heating, air conditioning and outside ventilati, covered and open courtyards separately for each stage, a dining hall on site, networked computer rooms with multimedia programmes, a science laboratory for practical work in biology, chemistry and physics, a music and multimedia centre with a projector, sound and instruments, an art workshop, and an information resources centre - a library with a separate English collecti, computers with internet access, maps, a newspaper archive and a video library.
