A private Russian school in the Sultangazi district of Istanbul, teaching the Russian national curriculum. It began in 2014, when Russian-speaking parents in Istanbul set up the A. S. Pushkin Society of Russian Language and Education: the only Russian school in the city at that time, the one at the Russian consulate general, could not take everyone. Within three years a teaching staff had formed and the first graduates of grades 9 and 11 sat the Russian state examinations; in 2017 the society received a Turkish education licence and opened in a new building as the A. S. Pushkin International Russian School. The school day runs from 8:30 to 15:30. The school also has a second site in Silifke on a separate subdomain, and the registry record behind this page is the Istanbul one.

About the fees The school publishes no fees at all. Its fees page says the current figure for the school year is given by telephone, through the contacts section, and that it is revised every year. The same page names the discounts available to families with several children at the school and to certain social categories.
Admissions Admission goes through a service contract. The school asks for a copy of the child's identity document, a copy of a parent's document, a residence certificate (ikamet belgesi) and two photographs. No entrance test is mentioned. A place can be reserved in advance through a pre-registration form and a deposit, because classes are kept to fifteen children. Families with more than one child at the school, large families and single-parent families can apply for a discount with supporting documents.
Stages and year groups There are three stages: pre-school, primary school and general secondary. Primary follows the Russian federal standard, with Russian, reading and science taught from the School of the 21st Century course books. Above it come lower secondary in grades 5 to 9 and upper secondary in grades 10 and 11. Classes are capped at fifteen children. The programme puts extra weight on mathematics, English and Turkish, and the school runs free preparation sessions for the Russian state exams and for the Turkish YÖS university entrance exam.
