Colegio CEU San Pablo Murcia has been running in Molina de Segura since 1975, that is for a fiftieth year, and belongs to the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, an educational institution of the Catholic Association of Propagandists created in 1933. The foundation has twenty-five educational centres across Spain and more than a hundred and ninety educational programmes from preschool to postgraduate and vocational training, in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Vitoria, Murcia, Alicante, Castellón, Vigo, Jerez, Elche, Seville and Valladolid. The school builds its educational project on a Christian understanding of the person, and names the tutor-teacher and the school's cooperation with the family as its load-bearing figures. The stages run from age two: the CEU Infant School two-year-olds' group, where teaching is state-subsidised, then the second cycle of preschool from three to six, primary school, secondary school, the CEU baccalaureate and, separately, the Bachillerato Dual with an American high school diploma. The school keeps the IB Primary Years Programme at its junior stages and devotes a page of its own to it. The main thing a parent needs to know: the school has no IB Diploma Programme - at the senior stage it is the Spanish CEU baccalaureate plus the American dual diploma - and it publishes no fees.
Key facts
Admissions The school's stages differ in status: the CEU Infant School group up to age one is private, the two-year-olds' group is subsidised, and the second cycle of nursery, primary school, ESO and the bachillerato are concertada, that is state-funded. Admission starts with an introductory meeting between the parents and a member of the management: the school explains itself and the stage being applied for and gathers information about the future pupil; if necessary the guidance department carries out its own assessment of the candidate. For entry to ESO the candidate must attend in person. After the meeting the family is shown round the school, and the place is reserved at the school office; when places are short, brothers and sisters of pupils have priority. The school writes nothing separately about children from other countries.
Stages and year groups Grades CEU Infant School from age 2 - baccalaureate, up to age 18. The stages are: the CEU Infant School for two-year-olds with state-subsidised teaching, the second cycle of preschool from three to six, primary school, compulsory secondary school, the CEU baccalaureate, and the Bachillerato Dual with an American high school diploma as a separate route. The IB Primary Years Programme sits at the junior stages; the school has no IB at the senior stage. For the American dual diploma the school requires a certified advanced level of English and standardised admission examinations.

IBInternational Baccalaureate
A Swiss non-profit, working since 1968. Its programmes are among the most widely recognised school programmes in the world. Authorisation is granted stage by stage, so a school with the final stage does not necessarily run the younger ones; which stages this school holds is set out in the line below.
What the badge means for this school. The school is allowed to run this programme and to award its certificate. This is a confirmation of the programme, not a judgement on the school as a whole. The entry stands in the organisation's public register - anyone can check it. At this school: PYP (ages 3-12). PYP is the primary stage, ages 3 to 12. It is not a set of subjects but a frame for the whole school: learning is built around lines of inquiry, and there are no exams at the end.

Colegios CEU is the school network of the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, a non-profit foundation set up in 1933 by the Asociación Católica de Propagandistas (ACdP). According to the foundation, it runs 25 educational centres - from early years to postgraduate study and vocational training - in twelve Spanish cities. The CEU schools page lists ten schools: three in Madrid (Claudio Coello, Montepríncipe and Sanchinarro), one each in Murcia (Molina de Segura), Alicante, Vitoria, Valencia and Seville, and two in Barcelona under the Abat Oliba name (Loreto and Spínola). Some of the schools are private and some are state-funded under agreement (concertado). The network's site is ceu.es.
What this means for this school. The network owns or operates the school. Its accreditation and programme authorisation the school obtains separately, in its own name.

A low score here means the school does not write about this, not that the school does not have it: a school with good security and a sparse site will score low. A school can fill in its profile, and the score will be counted again.
The score is counted from 7 of the 9 criteria.Only those with checkable data count: programmes and accreditations from official registers, the fee from a published price list. Where it says "scored on the median", the school has no data and the middle of the list is put in its place, so that a gap gives no advantage. Admissions, teaching staff and reviews come in as their data arrives.
